Fabio Wardley is so confident of beating Frazer Clarke, he has already planned his celebration.

The British heavyweights will collide on March 31, in a huge Easter Sunday clash for the British titles, and the rivalry has already heated up as the pair came face-to-face in Portman Road at the home of Wardley's beloved Ipswich Town.

Clarke wore a shirt of The Tractor Boys' infamous rivals Norwich City, which stirred up an angry reaction from both Wardley and the crowd who had clearly already picked the home favourite.

Wardley has not pulled any punches in suggesting a prediction, and has revealed that his beloved football club will form an integral part of his post-fight celebrations if he wins.

He said during an exclusive interview on talkSPORT Drive: "I'll be at the Ipswich v Southampton game on Monday."

After his comical admission, he went on to break down the fight insisting he has the tools to get the job done.

He said: "It is hard to teach an old dog new tricks. He [Clarke] has been boxing for a long long time in the amateur scene which moulds you into a way.

"When you come to the pros and need to adjust yourself, it is a tall task and making adjustments to face someone like me is a tall, tall order.

"Different opponents ask for different things, there may be things in there you haven't seen in the past. I think he'll be relatively cautious.

"I don't think he will be overly eager to jump into things, he knows I'm dangerous and sharp. Especially in the early rounds when I'm fresh and sharp.

"I can pull a big punch out of anywhere anytime in the fight, but early on it is a dangerous place for you to be lunging in and making mistakes."

Wardley and Clarke looked set to meet last year, but tensions rose after the latter was encouraged to fight and beat Dave Allen in September 2023 to instead gain more experience in the professional ranks.

Clarke had huge success in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games winning a bronze medal, and has a wealth of experience at amateur level.

His rival came from a white-collar background, but is confident he has been in big enough occasions to handle the pressure.

"I've done it many times over now, big stages, big events, big occasions and big fights," he concluded.

"It's not about one training camp you had, it's the build-up of doing it back-to-back.

"I feel like I am well schooled in that now, I've been around the block a few times so I am feeling good and having fun."
